John C. Green has practiced law with the Firm since 1969. He is a senior partner of Hume, Smith, Geddes, Green & Simmons LLP (formerly Smith & Jones). He graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business, and from Indiana University School of LawIndianapolis with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1969. He is a certified mediator for ADR Civil Mediation in the State of Indiana with professional experience in the mediation of civil matters since 1992. He served as law clerk for Judge James Cooper, deceased, former judge of the Indiana Court of Appeals from 1967-1969. He has served as a member of the Character and Fitness Committee of the State of Indiana since 1984. Mr. Green is a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and is a Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Association. He is a former president of the Indianapolis Law Club and current member of its Board of Directors. He is a past president, treasurer, and former member of the Board of Directors of the Columbia Club and currently serves as a Trustee of the Columbia Club Foundation. He is a Sagamore of the Wabash. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana, United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States. His has had appellate experience before the Indiana Court of Appeals and Seventh Circuit court of Appeals. Mr. Green has professional experience in the representation of injured and disabled persons involved in vehicular accidents, premises and construction site accidents, product liability injuries, and wrongful death claims. He also has professional experience in the representation of injured railroad workers involving FELA claims against their employer. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and Indianapolis Indian baseball games. John and his wife Tracey have five children and two grandchildren.
