Ted joined the firm as a partner in 1999 after having practiced law for a large national insurance company.

Ted's practice is focused in the insurance defense area with emphasis on personal injury defense, construction, commercial liability, wrongful death, medical and legal malpractice and environmental law. He has tried over fifty jury trials involving claims of negligence, wrongful death, slander, defamation and professional liability. He has also argued in front of the Indiana Court of Appeals and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Prior to practicing law Ted was a Lieutenant with the Indiana State Police. He left the Indiana State Police to begin practicing law.  Ted is also a Lieutenant Colonel with the Indiana National Guard where he serves as a special projects officer with the Muscatatuck Center for Complex Operations. In 2005 Ted completed a six month mobilization where he served in the Pentagon as the administrative officer for The Office for the Administrative Review of the Detention of Enemy Combatants, a joint service organization conducting review boards for detainees in Cuba. For his service Ted was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal. He is also the recipient of the Indiana Distinguished Service Cross for Valor. On December 1, 2009 he retired from the Indiana National Guard after 27 years of service with the National Guard and 34 years of service in the military.
